Michael Azgour

"Pixels - Image as Mythology"

After a ten-year tenure in Poland, Michael Azgour has returned to the United States, marking a new chapter in his artistic journey. His distinctive paintings—merging figuration, abstraction, and digital distortion—reflect on how technology influences our perception of reality. Azgour’s thoughtful compositions and conceptual depth have earned him recognition in museum and gallery exhibitions across the U.S. and abroad.

Following his recent solo exhibition at the Fresno Art Museum, this presentation at HOHMANN features a selection of those works alongside new paintings created since his return. Together, they reveal an artist who continues to push the boundaries of narrative painting while exploring the shifting landscape between the digital and the human experience.
